Scott Neal, Owner & General Manager
 

Scott Neal founded Compounding Solutions in May of 1999 and has been the General Manager and Owner since. As General Manager, he is responsible for Directing Sales, Production, R&D, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, HR, and Safety. Scott has been involved in the plastics industry since early childhood when his father, Robert Neal, founded Maine Poly Inc., a company that produced blown films for the food and electronics packaging from 1974 to 2004. Scott worked in production at Maine Poly during summers from an early age and continued through high school and college. In 1990, following his graduation from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire, Scott founded PolyColors, Inc., a custom manufacturer of color masterbatch, additives, and compounds servicing blown film and injection molding processors in the Northeast. In 1997, Scott sold PolyColors, Inc. to Clariant Masterbatches where he stayed on as the General Manager of the site for 2 years.


Nathan Doyle, Sales & Marketing Manager

Nathan Doyle, an expert in medical plastics, is the Sales & Marketing manager for the past 7 years at Compounding Solutions. Nathan leads a team of eight highly motivated individuals in the Compounding Solutions Sales & customer services department. Prior to working at Compounding Solutions, Nathan worked as Engineering Product Manager and Application Engineer for Cyclics Corporation, his work in his field led to 3 patents & patent applications. Nathan is a member of the kaizen, training, & culture committees at Compounding Solutions and a member of the Society of Plastic Engineers. Nathan received his bachelors and masters of science degrees in Material Science & Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Shawn Champagne, R&D Project Manager

As Project Manager at Compounding Solutions since 2012, Shawn works closely with the sales team to gather pertinent details about the applications requiring material development to ensure that all material specifications are met in a timely manner. Shawn leads an R&D group comprised of members with diverse backgrounds and professions. The group focuses primarily on formulation development to bring innovative material technologies to the medical market. Shawn received a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Robin McFarren, Finance Coordinator

Robin McFarren joined Compounding Solutions in 2010 as the HR & Finance Coordinator, before this she spent 17 years in the service industry as an owner/operator of Mac’s Grill focusing on the Financial & HR side of the business. Robin received her degree in Marketing & Accounting from Bentley College, Waltham, MA.

Jodi Theriault, Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

Jodi Theriault began her career with Compounding Solutions in 2001. She was hired on as Office Manager, spent several years as Production Coordinator, and now holds the title of Production & Supply Chain Manger where her responsibilities include maintaining vendor relationships, issuance of purchase orders, supporting sales in the quoting process, review of new orders and the raw material requirements thereof, as well as management of core ingredient inventory levels. Jodi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Leadership and Organizational Studies with a minor in Information Systems, and has received certification for ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.

Cory Coward, Quality Engineer/Manager

Cory Coward has been with Compounding Solutions since 2013, most currently in the role of Quality Engineer/Manager. She is responsible for managing all aspects of quality at Compounding Solutions, from interacting with vendors to ensure raw materials are of acceptable quality to tracking and analyzing quality trends within the organization. Her duties also include improving and upholding the Quality System across all areas of the company. Cory joined Compounding Solutions after receiving her Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine. She has completed numerous training courses spanning topics from leadership to auditing to Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy. Recently, Cory has received a Graduate Certificate in Plastics Engineering Fundamentals from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and plans to earn her Masters Degree in this area of study.

John Newton, Quality Control Manager

John Newton has been a part of the Compounding Solutions team for over 10 years. Throughout this time, he has held several positions within the company, and currently as Quality Control Manager. In his current role, John helps lead the quality team, comprised of 10 technicians, to ensure every product meets Compounding Solutions’ quality standards. John is also a member of the Training Committee and continuously seeks to expand his knowledge of quality and leadership through seminars and courses. He has completed training in several areas ranging from Internal Auditing to Corrective and Preventive Actions, a graduate of the Androscoggin Leadership Development Institute as well as completion of an Injection Molding Certificate at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Gene Girouard, Plant Manager

Gene is the Plant Maintenance Manager at Compounding Solutions and has been with the company since January of 2012. His responsibilities include managing all preventative maintenance of equipment throughout the facility along with maintaining the facility and grounds. Gene has in depth experience in electrical and mechanical applications including some automation. He is a current graduate of The Androscoggin Leadership Development Institute of 2016.

Dustin Daigle, Production Manager

Dustin is the Production Manager at Compounding Solutions and has been with the company since 2010. He oversees multiple teams comprised of machine operators, extrusion engineers, shipping personnel, inventory specialists and support staff. The scope of Production Manager includes maintaining day to day machine product deadlines and overall work flow on the production floor from raw material storage to final product shipping. Dustin graduated from Central Maine Technical College and has completed the Androscoggin Leadership Development Institute.
